Red Cross

The site where the complex of the Red Cross has been built is part of the regional hospital area. Since space is limited, one of the major design factors was the use of minimum space within the maximum functionality within the building program on the construction site. The building is situated  right next to the bordering street, following its natural curve. Through following the given conditions, the form of the building gets shaped like a snail. Through this open snail all the emergency traffic is working. All parts of the building are connected together through this inner courtyard – enabling staff and the departments to fully interact with each other.
